Cetrizet-D Tablet combines two active ingredients — cetirizine hydrochloride, an antihistamine, and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, a decongestant — making it a combination allergy and congestion medicine. A few things worth knowing: it can cause drowsiness in some people even though cetirizine is considered a "less sedating" antihistamine, and the pseudoephedrine component may cause a slight increase in heart rate, restlessness, or difficulty sleeping if taken too close to bedtime. It's generally meant for short-term symptomatic relief rather than long-term daily use unless your doctor advises otherwise. The usual recommended dose is one tablet twice daily for adults and children over 12 years, and it should not be taken more often than this. It is not generally recommended for children under 12 without medical advice.
